Having joined HMS Valuation Partners in 1999, Donald Crawford (“Don”) leads research efforts to acquire national market data related to physician compensation, physician office billing, and other areas involving hospital agreements with physicians and physician-owned businesses. This work supports fair market valuation opinions on complex contractual arrangements and helps meet evolving client needs. Don has also provided financial, analytical, and research support for numerous physician practice valuations. As the firm’s Information Technology Chief, he oversees technology initiatives and contributes to strategic planning efforts across the organization.
Experienced
After earning his MBA from the A. B. Freeman School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of New Orleans, Don began his career in 1988 managing the operations of an independent retail pharmacy. He later oversaw finance and operations for a technology company that achieved 300% revenue growth over a three-year period. At Entergy Services, Inc., a Fortune 500 energy company, Don served as both an IT Business Analyst and Financial Analyst, where he developed standardized operational procedures that increased efficiency and generated measurable cost savings. He later joined Utility Finance as a Financial Analyst, where he created a five-year revenue forecast model for two of the company’s six legal entities. Don’s broad background in business, finance, and operations, combined with his interest in the healthcare industry, ultimately led him to HMS Valuation Partners.

Drive back roads and hike, because I enjoy viewing the vistas of nature. I also enjoy the arts (museums and theater) as well as reading and working on cars.
