Accountable
Rel Armistead joined HMS Valuation Partners in 2008. He focuses on analysis and market research for fixed asset valuations and fixed asset lease rate valuations, including furniture and equipment, supplies, telephone number, trade name, website, trained and assembled work force, etc. Rel has also been instrumental in assisting with the furniture and equipment component of timeshare lease valuations. His client valuations range from a single physician practice with less than 3,000 sq. ft. of assets to multi-physician, multi-location practices with 75,000+ sq. ft. of assets. Rel’s projects have also included hospitals, surgical centers, and medical imaging centers.
Experienced
Rel graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.M. and a B.M.Ed. in Education. He started his career as a high school teacher instructing in the areas of Advanced Mathematics, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry. He moved on to become a licensed building contractor, where he managed the day-to-day operations of multiple construction related projects (numerous single family homes as well as multi-family condominiums), crews and their related financial administration. Recognizing attention to detail, project completion expertise from initial concept through final product, strong analytical skills, and real estate property assessment and valuation allowed Rel to transition seamlessly into medical asset valuations.

Forward-Thinking
While clients have expressed appreciation for Rel’s ease of communication, thorough research, and timely project completion, Rel recognizes his transition into the healthcare environment, and more specifically the medical valuation field, was the right decision. He considers his work with HMS, a firm with the same forward thinking philosophy and belief in attention to detail, to be both satisfying and rewarding. As a result, clients receive the very best of Rel when he’s busy handling their valuation projects.
Value Outside Work
My favorite things to do as a kid were. . .
Playing any game with the other boys in the neighborhood, especially when it involved running wild in the woods.
As a big kid, I like to. . .
Spend time with my wife and my family. . .being a good husband and father has been my number one goal and a driving force in my life.
One of the things I hope to do. . .
Visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial in Hawaii. My father was a Pearl Harbor survivor whose recounting events of that day left a lasting impression on me as a young boy.
